Hi, I'm Vinh, and I want to be your next Tucker City Councilman for District 2.
I am a 35-year-old Tucker native and Marine veteran with a passion for serving my community. Having grown up in our city, I understand the unique challenges and aspirations of its residents. Three generations of my family live here. With a military and technology background, I will bring a fresh perspective to City Council. I believe in building an inclusive community that values everyone, supports our veterans, and addresses pressing issues such as affordable housing, education, and sustainable growth. With a focus on progress and equity, I am dedicated to modernizing Tucker while preserving its cherished community feel. Together, let's create a safer, more vibrant, and prosperous city that uplifts every resident.

To do this, we must ensure that current and future residents can afford to stay here and see opportunities for themselves and their families. Improving safety and maintaining our community feel are essential elements as we think about the future of Tucker. I believe that we can promote these by helping citizens find belonging, growing our local business portfolio, and enhancing our shared spaces.
I will champion initiatives that provide safe and enriching activities for people to find belonging in our community, including after-school programs, sports leagues, mentorship opportunities, and cultural events. By supporting local businesses, we can strengthen community ties and improve overall safety and prosperity. I will support policies that foster entrepreneurship, provide resources for small businesses, and promote vibrant commercial districts. Lastly, I will advocate for investments in public spaces, such as our parks, Main Street, and our community centers.

Having grown up in Tucker and understanding the challenges faced by working families, I am passionate about addressing affordable housing and social equity issues. I've seen people who love this community forced to leave simply because they couldn't afford a home here.
I will work to implement policies that promote affordable housing options, combat gentrification, and bridge the economic divide to ensure that all residents have access to safe, affordable, and quality housing. I will work towards streamlining permitting and regulatory processes for affordable housing projects, reducing the associated costs and delays. By creating a more efficient system, we can encourage developers to invest in affordable housing and expedite the construction process.

Leveraging my experience in technology and understanding of the importance of a strong local economy, I will promote economic development initiatives that create job opportunities, support small businesses, and attract new businesses. This includes fostering entrepreneurship, providing resources for startups, and collaborating with existing local businesses and organizations.
Recognizing the transformative power of education, I will prioritize investment in schools, educational programs, and extracurricular activities to benefit our youngest residents. I believe in providing equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their socioeconomic background, and fostering an environment that allows them to reach their full potential.
